The 1st cell phone credit card reader is FREE and only adds $5 to your merchant account monthly fees. Plus the rates that are applicable for your regular merchant account will be the rates you get for your new cell phone / SmartPhone credit card terminal. This is great for any business that delivers or has the opportunity for business away from your traditional retail location. If you have an average transaction of $15 or less ask us about our special "Small Ticket Pricing" program where your transaction cost is less than $0.15 per transaction. Cell phone / SmartPhone processing is now available using your own cell phone. We provide the merchant account and your first credit card cell phone / SmartPhone reader is FREE. This allows mobile merchant's the ability to accept credit cards with their own cell phone / SmartPhone and emails the receipt to both the customer and you (the merchant). The new RoamPay card reader works on: Apple iPhone, iPad, iPod (iTouch) Android Phones, Blackberry, Verizon Brew, Windows 7 and more (please see the list below). Simply, download the App and enter the activation code we email, plug the RoamPay card reader into your Smartphone / cell phones 3.5mm ear piece, turn up the volume and you are ready to accept credit cards on your existing SmartPhone or cell phone. Once you sign up for a new merchant account you will be accepting credit cards in a few days and anywhere you have cell phone service. This will work with AT&T, Verizon, Sprint and T-Mobile.

Once you are approved for your new merchant account we will email you the activation information and depending on your phone you will either download the application from your respective app store (iTunes App Store, Android App Market, BlackBerry App World) or you will receive a text message with instructions. In the iTunes App Store, Android App Market, BlackBerry App World you will have to pay a $2.99 fee; which we will reimburse you via ACH within a few days of your account activation.

In addition, we provide you with a virtual terminal where you can process credit cards from any computer, laptop (MAC or Windows). We have a special Y adapter for this that allows you to connect your RoamPay credit card reader into your computer / laptop to accept credit cards at the Retail rate or the lowest possible cost.

Please note this list is updated all the time. Other cell phones are compatible with the software ONLY for (keyed-in transactions MOTO for the rate of 2.29% + $0.25 per transaction). The following example is from an iPad / iPhone using the RoamPay swiper and application. 

Step 1.  Once you’ve activated and logged in to your RoamPay application.  Select Credit Card transaction and then press select.

Step 2: Enter the amount. After you’ve entered the amount, make sure the volume is all the way up and press Next.

Step 3:  Press Swipe then swipe the card or begin entering the card information.

Step 4:  Once you’ve pressed Swipe the screen will show:

Step 5: Once the card is swiped and the card is read the screen will show with the information. If the card does not read press “Try Again”.

Step 6:  Now press Address (to put in customer details address, phone, etc) or press Next to go to the Final Screen.  Here you can enter details / notes about the sale in “V2T” area and this will appear in the customer / merchant receipt email.  As you can see below you also enter the customers email address and both of you will receive a copy.
